The Amitges

The Amitges is a tough and durable rope suitable for all types of ascents on big walls. It has a double standardisation, double and twin. It provides extra protection against humidity and greater resistance to dust and dirt thanks to its Dry treatment. It is recommended for mountaineers and climbers looking for a high-performance rope, ideally in summer conditions.

The spires of Amitges are located in Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. Its abrasive granite masses are of excellent quality and provide many different climbs up slabs, dihedral angles, and cracks that are not always bolted.

Standardisation: double and twin
Dry treatment: Water-repellent treatment on the sheath. Provides resistance to oil, grease, and water. Extends the rope’s lifespan.
Endurance construction: It favours sliding and extends the rope s lifespan. Braided with 36 threads.

Finishes:

Middle Mark: indicates the halfway point on the rope with a black mark.
8 Mark: marking system that uses a red mark to indicate that there are 8 meters left to reach the end of the rope.
Reflector: reflective indicator at both ends of the rope.
Ultrasonic cut: stiffens the rope ends and protects them from wear.
