- Categories : News

Fixe ropes are backed by more than 125 years of experience, a heritage acquired when Roca became part of the current Fixe Climbing group in 2012. Antonio Roca founded the rope factory that bears his name in 1891 and since then the company has manufactured some of the best ropes on the market for climbing and industry. Fixe currently manufactures more than a dozen rope models, all in the brand’s factory in Sant Quirze de Besora (Barcelona), where its offices are also located. Ranger and Pro Rope – two products you can rely on for vertical work and industry The Fixe climbing rope collection is well known by climbers, but the Barcelona brand also has in its catalogue two emblematic models within the industry and vertical work sector. They are the ropes called Ranger and Pro Rope. These two models are semi-static ropes, which are used for climbing with ascenders and descenders, and have Type A approval, the highest awarded in the semi-static category. Type A approval is the one that offers the broadest safety index and these are the ropes that are used in vertical work and industrial installations. Ranger and Pro Rope ropes are available in a diameter of 10.5 mm and different lengths and differ in the type of braiding. Ranger is the best-selling Fixe rope for industry and vertical work and is excellent value for money. The braiding of this rope is carried out with a 36-wire machine. The Pro Rope, on the other hand, is manufactured with a 48-wire machine, with a braiding of 2 by 2 (colloquially known as “square”). This construction gives the rope a smoother surface, reducing friction and abrasion, and increasing durability. Both models have their corresponding versions: The Ranger in a larger diameter of 11.0 mm for the most demanding installations; and the Pro Rope in a smaller 9.5 mm diameter and Endurance construction, which makes it easier to handle. Discover the Fixe ropes for industry, Ranger and Pro Rope.
